Completion of the entire electrical system at the Throgs Neck Bridge. The bridge was operated under temporary generator power for 9 months. The 5kV Substation furnished all power to the Throgs Neck Bridge, Operational Building, Toll Complex and Maintenance Facility. Safety requirements included boat patrol during working hours.

Completion contract covering upgrade power and lighting of Manhattan Bridge and installation of Traffic Control System.

E-J was the prime contractor on this installation of prototype acoustical monitoring system consisting of acoustical sensors, cabling and processing equipment, 8,000 feet of multi conductor coaxial cable and 102 sensors installed on the bridges support cables at elevations exceeding 300 feet.

Furnish & install 13.8kV, 480V, 120/208V distribution equipment and feeders & circuitry. Furnish & install UPS, fiber optic, direct transfer trip and automatic control systems and motor work.

Rehabilitation of all electrical and mechanical ventilation equipment. This project is the total replacement of a fully redundant electrical and mechanical system for the ventilation of the Holland Tunnel. Equipment being replaced is medium voltage switchgear, 480V switchgear and motor control centers. This equipment resides in four buildings, two New York, two in New Jersey. Equipment removals and replacements must be staged perfectly so that there is no interruption to tunnel service.

Installation and start-up of sensors, cameras, controls and processors for the Bridge Damage Surveillance System as designed By Pure Technologies. The project criteria included identifying a vehicle collision with the bridge structure, capturing video of the offending vehicle’s side profile and license plate in real time, and then emailing these videos to the owner. The project installation required completing our scope of work while maintaining the traffic flow of the Hutchinson River Parkway.
