E-J has 25 engineers on staff that take all construction drawings and puts them into color AutoCAD with details to make our field staff the most productive in the industry.
Project Management
E-J's Project Managers lead critical projects by focusing on all requirements including scheduling, engineering, field production and budgets. Continuing education makes them stay on top of new construction methods.
Estimating
E-J Electric performs all estimating on the McCormick Computerized Estimating System. Quantity takeoffs are done through a digitizer and final price sheets can be adjusted to reflect last minute deletions or additions to better serve our clients. An AutoCAD interface enables automatic quantity takeoffs from CAD drawings.
Purchasing
A six person, centralized, purchasing department utilizes a completely automated purchasing system.
The purchasing department supports all projects in timely, cost efficient delivery of materials, equipment and tools. All company tools and trucks are controlled through Tool Watch.
Field
E-J Electric management serves on several committees of the Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry and maintains effective relations, developed over 100 years, with local labor unions. We make recommendations and render assistance, as necessary, toward the avoidance of labor disputes during construction.
E-J will take a strong stand in backing clients on any labor questions to ensure a fair resolution of issues. We have followed this tough policy for the client when negotiating recent labor agreements with the IBEW.
E-J has developed an outstanding reputation with our employees, which result in long standing mutual respect.

QA/QC
Quality control at E-J Electric works throughout the entire organization. Management designs a project specific plan to ensure that the proper checks and balances are in place to turn over a quality project to the client.
E-J has established long term vendor relationships that ensure specifications are met before the products arrive at the jobsite.
Field technicians and engineers are given additional training in areas such as fiber optics to ensure they are on top of the latest technology.
Procedures are designed for field inspections that produce accurate measurable results.
