A 36,000 sq. foot state-of-the-art facility in which we worked with the architect to perform due diligence reports on various sites, assisted the architect and Construction Manager with conceptual budgets, to final design documentation. The trading floor consisted of 94 traders. Each trader location is serviced by twelve four pair UTP category 6 rated cables. The Communications Room is 2100 square feet which contains thirty eight cabinets, network control furniture, Turret PBX, PBX, incoming services and XLBET frames for horizontal cables, inter-rack cables, Turret and PBX tails and a fiber rack for inter-rack cabling. All cabinets contain fiber and copper patch panels. The facility has a raised floor, which contains cable tray for horizontal distribution. |

The Grasslands Substation project called on E-J Electric to provide the complete "above grade" electrical package. The work within this scope included the rigging and placement of switchgear, a complete 3000A/4500A bus duct system, installation and termination of all control and power cables, placement and wiring of all control room equipment, (2) 500kVA station power transformers, complete fire alarm system, complete public address/paging system and completion of two 138kV/13.8kV transformer bays which included welding of cable bus, installation and adjustment of circuit switchers and circuit interrupters and all 125V DC control devices.
The station was completed on an aggressive schedule, made challenging by one of the areas most severe winters. This was the first time that Consolidated Edison Co. contracted this complete scope of work. |

A multiphase private school renovation and addition. E-J worked with the construction team from the design development stage providing budgeting, scheduling, logistics information and installed a temporary infrastructure system including power, CATV, voice services and fiber optic data services. The project consisted of underground high voltage and secondary feeders, new power, lighting, voice and data communication systems, fire alarm systems, intercom systems, paging systems, scoreboard systems, stage dimming systems, and motorized backboard systems. The work included new classrooms, renovations to existing classrooms, new main entrance, new gathering center/gymnasium, renovations to two existing gymnasiums, locker room renovations, science building renovations and state-of-the-art video conferencing center/computer lab. |

This major renovation of Yonkers Raceway includes the Clubhouse, a new 98,000 sq. ft building, new lighting and infrastructure upgrades for the entire site and parking facilities. Project involves the installation of a primary 13kV medium voltage electric service, generators, paralleling switchgear, substations, utility primary switchgear, site ductbanks, manholes and site lighting.
The 97.74 acres racetrack renovation includes 7500 video lottery terminals (VLT), restaurants, theater and parking for 5000 vehicles. The VLT's are housed in part of the existing casino and new building. The entire facility is backed up by emergency generators. Installation included replacing the four existing #2/0 13kV service feeders with four new #350 kcmil 13kV feeders including manholes. E-J is installing owner furnished double ended primary switchgear, three substations, DC power panels, grounding and all electrical lighting/power within the main switchgear rooms. The entire service, switchgear and switchgear room will be installed to meet all Con Edison requirements. In addition to this work E-J is providing a 750kVA 5kV temporary service to facilitate operation of the track while the permanent feeders are renovated. The temporary feeders will also serve to energize an existing substation in the clubhouse for use as the project's overall temporary service. E-J is responsible for providing detailed temporary switchgear and service room engineered layouts. Under a separate contract E-J will be installing four owner furnished 2000kW 13kV generators, one prefabricated paralleling switchgear building, seven medium voltage transfer switches, substations for the new building, power feeders, control wiring and interfacing with the new permanent service. The generators will be remotely located in a dedicated yard. We will provide new ductbanks and manholes to distribute power among the entire facility. |

weeks crash installation of 66MW of mobile gas turbine
generator for Power Development Corporation. Northeast
Generator required this outdoor peaking unit to meet
super load requirements. The three modular, trailer
mounted GE TM 2500 units were fed using individual
ladder tray with cover. The 13.8kV output was stepped
up through a 75MVA transformer to 115kV. Other
installations included the pumps for fuel storage,
all wiring for demineralized water used for emission
control, poles, overhead transmission work and spending
grid. |
